New capability: Invoicing
Seeing clients respond to therapy is probably what got you interested in the first place. The satisfaction of knowing your work with a client makes their morning routine, dinner out at night, or daily activities a bit simpler are some of the rewards which come from being a therapist. Adding the responsibility of being a practice owner on top of that brings new responsibilities.
Keeping the business part of your practice going requires turning clinical activity into accounting activity. Until now, Nota took care of documenting the clinical activities, and helped you get organized by filling cancellations or no shows. However, you had to use another system to create an invoice. You might have created them individually, using a spreadsheet. Maybe you’re using accounting software to create invoices and track payment.
Today, we’re happy to announce Nota can now help you turn your treatment activities into invoices! Our goal with Nota is to save our customers time by automating manual processes or giving you the information you need, when you need it. With invoicing, we’re doing the same.
When you complete a treatment note, that session becomes available to query on the new invoices screen.
Two steps is all it takes to create an invoice. 1) Select the treatment session 2) Press Print. After specifying the time period you want to see, Nota shows you all the treatment notes created in that period. You can preview any invoice to see all of the information, and if you’re satisfied with what you see, you can print an invoice to a PDF. If you work with accounting software, or a book keeper who does his for you, you can export a file for uploading to the accounting software.
In the process of building this capability, the customers told us they spend a up to ten hours every month making invoices. Given the value of time, nothing makes us happier than knowing we can take a burdensome task, make it faster, and give our customers the choice of how to spend their new free time.
